Dr Lilly’s tranquility is interrupted by a shooter at the women’s clinic where she works. Fearing for her life she hides in her office only to discover the gunman already inside, and seeking answers to what happened to his child. Adam had looked forward to becoming a father but an argument with his girlfriend led her to the decision to terminate the pregnancy. Frustrated, Adam storms the abortion clinic at gunpoint to find out how and why his future as a father has been denied.
This ten-minute, two-character short film will not be pleasant nor fun to watch - but will demonstrate how American culture and politics displaces the man’s position as a father and husband.
The expectation is for MONSTER to be available for pro-life ministries and missions to share at their own discretion. It’s not everyone’s “cup of tea” but it will deal with an aspect of the abortion conversation rarely had - the impact on the father.

To realize this production we will need a limited number of crew for the single day production. The day should be in December, before the 18th, somewhere near the Fort Worth, Texas area. We will nail down the details as we eliminate things off the THINGS WE NEED LIST below.

There are two characters in MONSTER.
Dr Lilly - Female. 40’s - 60’s. The operator of an abortion clinic. Fiercely independent feminist who supports NPR and social causes.
Adam - Male. Early 20’s. Heartbroken, chaotic and angry. His desire to be a provider and protector is at conflict with the agony of a series of unexpected circumstances.

THINGS WE NEED
The attempt is to produce this short as cost effective as possible. Some things have hard costs, but each item off of this list of things that are needed for production that can be donated, gifted, loaned or sponsored will lower the financial burden on the production. Here are a list of the biggest needs at the moment - though this list will be updated. You can also see some of the things this project will need on our Amazon Wish List.
LOCATION - Monster is set in an abortion clinic. We are looking for an office space that has the following characteristics: A ground floor office with windows. The hallway of the office and the break room / kitchenette area will also be seen. All of these need to be the same building. It would benefit the production if the office were unfurnished, or minimally furnished so that the set can be dressed for the scene. We are looking for this location in the greater Fort Worth, Texas area - but are open to the right location anywhere.
ACCOMMODATIONS - Some of the cast/crew may be traveling to participate in this production. It would be most helpful to be able to accommodate them the night before and the night of the filming day. Hotel rooms, guests rooms/houses, AirBnB - anywhere that the good people who work hard on this project can rest peacefully and have some privacy. Greater Fort Worth area.
FOOD - An army marches on its stomach. One of the greatest expenses in any production is the feeding of the cast and crew who often arrive early in the morning and work late into the evening. Time doesn’t allow lunch breaks and some crew members will eat while standing/ walking / working. While we want to have the time to stop and eat our THREE MEALS together as a cast and crew family, SNACKS AND DRINKS will be needed to keep everyone field and energized for the day.
HARD DRIVES / STORAGE - Every project needs to exist in three spaces. That means at least two hard drives and one in the cloud. This project will require two (2x) 5Tb or greater hard drives for storage and backup. One will be the edit drive, one will be secure at a separate location and one copy of all the footage, audio, artwork, etc. will be kept on a cloud drive for redundancy. When /if we determine an actual drive to use it will be added to our Amazon Wish List.
ART DEPARTMENT - The set will likely need to be dressed. To that end we will need office furnishings. We will need to source our set dressing, transportation to/from set and the appropriate labor to handle all the items. All this will be determined as production moves ahead and be listed here.
